Clean rag
Have all your tools and parts ready before applying the glue. Benchtop glue has a short working time, so you will need to work quickly and keep cleaning the join while the glue sets.
Joining steps

Apply the benchtop glue
Slightly moisten the edge of the benchtop before applying the glue.
Apply an even layer of benchtop glue to the join edge and spread it using a spatula. Make sure there is good coverage along the top edge of the join.
The glue has an open time of only five minutes, so work quickly once it has been applied.

Fit and lightly tighten the toggle bolts
Fit the toggle bolts into the join slots underneath the benchtop.
Use a 10mm open-ended spanner to lightly tighten the bolts.
Do not fully tighten the toggle bolts yet. You will need to check the join and make any necessary adjustments first.

Level the benchtop join
Check the surface across both pieces. Use a hammer and wooden block to gently tap the benchtop until the join is level.
Once both sides are properly aligned, finish tightening the toggle bolts from underneath.
Always place the wooden block between the hammer and benchtop to protect the surface while making adjustments.

Clean away excess glue
Carefully scrape away any excess glue from the join.
Use the cleaning agent and a clean rag to remove the remaining glue from the benchtop surface.
Glue may continue to come out of the join for approximately 30 minutes. Check and clean the join regularly during this time.
Complete a thorough final clean. Any glue left on the surface may be impossible to remove once it has set.

Leave the benchtop to set
Leave the benchtop undisturbed for at least two hours before moving it.
For the best result, leave the joined benchtop to set overnight before moving or installing it.
