Tools you’ll need
Measuring tape
Pencil
Long ruler
Jigsaw
Drill with a 10mm drill bit
Check the sink position and all measurements carefully before cutting. The inner line marked in step three is the cutting line.
Cutting steps

Position the sink
Place the sink upside down on the benchtop in the position where it will be installed.
Check that the sink is correctly aligned and has enough clearance from the benchtop edges, cabinets and surrounding fittings.

Trace around the sink
Hold the sink firmly in position and use a pencil to trace around its outside edge.
Remove the sink once you have drawn a complete outline.

Mark the cutting line
Measure and draw a second line 15mm inside the first traced outline.
Cut around the inner line—not the original outside outline of the sink.

Drill a starter hole
Drill a 10mm starter hole inside the inner cutting line.
Position the entire hole inside the cutting area. This hole provides a starting point for the jigsaw blade.

Cut out the opening
Insert the jigsaw blade into the starter hole and carefully cut around the inner line.
Take your time and keep the jigsaw following the marked line until the opening is complete.
The cut edge does not need to be perfectly smooth because the rim of the sink will cover it.
