Kitchen and Laundry Cabinets

Do you manufacture custom cabinets?

We do not offer any custom cabinets, you can find all of the sizes we offer on our website under ‘Our Products’. For gaps we recommend using fillers panels with a void behind them. If you are struggling with our standard cabinets not fitting your space, send us an email to info@cabjaks.co.nz with your plans and we can try coming up with a solution, however we are limited to our standard module so we might not have a solution for every situation.

Will my cabinets come flat packed?

Our kitchen, laundry and tall cabinets only come fully assembled, we do not offer flat packed cabinets.

Can I just replace the doors on my cabinets?

Yes! If your original cabinets were purchased from us, you can order replacements using our standard fronts. If your cabinets were not purchased from us, you can use the ‘custom panel’ feature online to find a price for the exact size doors you require.

Can I change the placement of my handles?

Unfortunately, we are unable to change the placement of the handles, so this would need to be done on-site when installing. If you select no handle holes, the fronts won’t be drilled, and you can choose your own placement on-site.

Do you do shaker style doors?

We don’t manufacture shaker style doors.

Do you sell appliances?

We sell a range of appliances, these can be found here: Appliances.

Will my cabinets come with the handles attached?

No. Due to risks of damage in transit, handles come separately with the screws, and will need to be installed on-site.

What's the difference between sink back and non sink back?

Sink back cabinets have a solid 16mm back, which is easier to fix components too as can be screwed into i.e. electrical and plumbing. You can still use a non sink back cabinet underneath a sink, but it will have a 3mm backing board instead and can make it harder for installation.

I want to buy extra shelves – for my cabjaks kitchen or for another kitchen

We sell loose shelves for our cabinets which can be found here. If you are sourcing shelves for cabinets that aren’t from Cabjaks, you will need to measure your shelves to see if we have a stock one that will fit, otherwise it will need to be ordered as a custom panel using our custom panel tool.

What is the load bearing for shelves?

There isn't a specific weight load for shelves, as there are a multitude of factors that determine how much it can take such as placement, distribution etc. If you're wanting to make your shelves less susceptible to bowing, we'd recommend using an L-bracket at the back under the shelf to help secure it more.

What is the load bearing on drawers:

  • Soft close drawers: 40kg per drawer

  • Standard drawers: 25kg per drawer

How far up and down can the adjustable feet go?

The adjustable feet and go up 10mm to 160mm and down 40mm to 110mm.

Do you have a tall cabinet for stacking washing machines/dryers?

We don’t have any cabinets that are designed for housing washing machines/dryers. Our recommended approach is to have these next to each other with end panels either side and a benchtop over them.

Do I need end panels for wall cabinets?

You don’t need end panels for wall cabinets as they come already finished. The exception to this is if you are ordering coloured cabinets, then you would need end panels on any exposed side as the carcasses remain white.

Can I order cabinets without doors?

Yes, you can! At the bottom of the cart there is a special request box where you can tick for your order to come without doors, so production is aware. You can either then place the order and pay and we can refund you the door reduction, or you can select bank deposit, and we can add on the door reduction before sending through an updated invoice. Please add a note in that you would like a door reduction, so that our office team are aware.
