From start to finish

Here’s the Cabjaks process in plain English — what you do, what we do, and what happens next. You can work through it at your own pace, and our team is available via chat, email or phone if you need a hand.

1

Measure your space

Start with the basics so your design has a solid foundation. You do not need every tiny detail to begin, but the more accurate your measurements are, the easier the process will be.

  • Wall lengths and ceiling height
  • Window and door positions
  • Any fixed plumbing, waste or power points
3

Build your design

Add cabinets, panels and components to create your layout. The planners are built around our standard cabinet system, so you are working with real, buildable products from the start.

  • Drag and drop cabinets and components into position
  • Move, rotate and edit items to suit your layout
  • Use fillers, panels and extras to refine the final result
4

Review and save your plan

Once your layout is looking right, head to the review stage and save the plan to your account. This is the best time to check everything over before moving toward checkout.

  • Review cabinets, quantities and overall layout
  • Choose upgrades such as handles and hardware options
  • Get our team to look over the plan if needed
5

Add your plan to cart

When your plan is ready, add it to cart and include any extra products needed to complete the job.

  • Add sinks, taps, appliances, accessories or other extras
  • Double check the cart for the correct items and quantities
  • Select your preferred manufacture timing and include order notes if needed
6

Checkout and place your order

Complete checkout online by entering your details, choosing delivery or collection, and finalising payment.

  • Enter customer and delivery details carefully
  • Choose pickup, Auckland delivery or freight as needed
  • Pay by credit card or bank deposit to confirm the order
7

Production and preparation

Once your order is confirmed, it moves into production and dispatch preparation. Cabinets are assembled or picked, checked and prepared for collection or transport.

  • Kitchen and laundry cabinets are prepared ready for install
  • Extras and accessories are picked with your order
  • Our dispatch team completes a quality control check before sign-off
8

Delivery or collection

Once your order is ready, it can be collected from our warehouse or sent out using the delivery option chosen at checkout.

  • Pickup orders can be collected from 77 Ben Lomond Crescent, Pakuranga Heights
  • Auckland deliveries are arranged around our truck schedule
  • Freight orders are booked with our transport partners who will advise delivery timing
9

Install and aftercare

Once your order arrives, you can install it yourself, use your own trades, or work with one of our recommended installers. We also have support content available after install.

  • Follow our install guides for step-by-step help
  • Use recommended installers if you would prefer a hand
  • Find care, cleaning, adjustments and warranty information online

What to have ready before you design

If you have these basics sorted, the planner becomes much easier to use and you are far less likely to run into problems later.

Measurements + layout basics

Start simple, then refine your plan as you go.

  • Wall lengths, window and door positions
  • Ceiling height, bulkheads or other fixed features
  • Plumbing, waste and power positions if they are fixed

Appliances + style direction

You do not need every decision locked in on day one, but having a rough direction helps a lot.

  • Fridge, oven, dishwasher or laundry appliance sizes
  • Benchtop preference, colour choice and handle style
  • Inspiration images or a saved plan to work from

Quick FAQs
