How to adjust standard & soft-close hinges

All doors and drawer fronts are adjusted in the factory, however they may need to be adjusted again once the cabinet has been fitted.

It is very important that the cabinet is fixed off and secured level and plumb before any adjustments are made.

Door adjustment

There are three adjustments that can be made for each door:

Door height, side-to-side alignment, and distance from the carcass edge.

Adjustment points

Note: The adjustment points are located on the hinge mount inside the cabinet.

  1. Adjust door height

To adjust the door height, loosen the two screws marked #1.

This will need to be done on all hinge mounts attached to the door.

Move the door up or down to the desired position, then retighten the screws.

Note: You may need to lightly push the hinge mount up or down to get it to move once the screws have been loosened.

  2. Adjust side-to-side alignment

Use the screw marked #2 to move the door from side to side.

Turning the screw marked #2 anticlockwise will move the door towards the outside edge of the carcass, at the hinge edge.

Turning the screw marked #2 clockwise will move the door away from the hinge edge of the carcass.

Tip: Make small adjustments and check the door gap as you go.

  3. Adjust distance from the carcass edge

To adjust the distance between the door and the carcass edge, loosen the screw marked #3.

Move the door in or out to the desired position.

Once the door is positioned correctly, retighten the screw marked #3.

Tip: This adjustment helps control how far forward or back the door sits against the cabinet.
